At the Food Is Now space at Roskilde Festival, take a seat at the long table and let yourself be seduced by the aroma of freshly baked bread, fragrant stews, and crisp salads – as women from the neighborhood of Æblehaven/Rønnebærparken in Roskilde serve a lunch that tastes like both home and the world.
Come experience how food can unite, move, and delight. This is more than just a meal – it’s an encounter with people, traditions, and unforgettable flavors.

Danish favourites are more than pork and meatballs. They’re also dishes like dolma, mujadara, kibbeh, and tabbouleh – filled with love, history, and tradition, brought from countries like Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, and Palestine, and recreated with fresh, local ingredients from farms across Zealand.
The menu is developed by the women themselves, and the lunch is a celebration of the rich culinary diversity found in Denmark in 2025 – and of the women, their stories, and their deep love for cooking.

GASTRONOMIC EXPERENCES AT ROSKILDE FESTIVAL
Join a unique dining experience where food sparks connection, reflection, and change. Food is Now is Roskilde Festival’s platform for food culture – inviting you to taste, think, and engage with the future on your plate.
At Roskilde Festival 2025, we explore the systems behind what we eat – how food is grown, shared, and sustained. Through regenerative practices and shared meals, we ask how food can help restore both soil and society.
A Food is Now ticketed event is more than a meal – it’s an immersive experience led by chefs, farmers, artists, and researchers.
